Yikes! Women are not the only ones who appreciate the value of a good brush, of course. Many of the worlds most dashing men use brushes to style their hair today. Even the Vikings, a bunch of the roughest, toughest men who ever lived, cared for their hair by using combs and brushes they made hundreds of years ago! In 1942, Walter moved to Chicago and began contacting salons selling specially crafted products such as beer shampoo, egg shampoo, hair nets, ear warmers for dryer use, and brushes with wooden handles. In 1944, Walter and his wife Fern went on their honeymoon to New York City and squeezed in working at the International Beauty Show. In the early 50s Walter created the Walter Sporn Company which is now known as Spornette International.
Featuring tourmaline bristles, this brush actually helps to drive moisture into the scalp and hair shaft. The bristles are heat resistant and static free so hair is brushed without leaving behind frizz or fuzz. A ceramic core works with the heat of the blow dryer to dry the hair completely and evenly leaving behind shiny and smooth hair. One great feature about the Cricket Technique brush is its versatility. It can be used with a blow dryer to straighten hair due to its ability to grab the section of hair tightly and provide just enough resistance to smooth away curls or waves. It can also be used to add volume and body by wrapping the hair around the brush and blasting with the blow dryer.
Hair loss is certainly not the worst medical condition to have, but for those who decide that hair re-growth is important, the low level therapy in laser hair brushes is a good treatment to explore. Their wooden hair brush with nylon bristles was a huge success, and from there Cricket brushes became a successful national brand. Cricket has been the company behind such innovative hairbrushes as "static-free" and "boar-bristle" brushes. Just as they got their start by meeting a market need, they are always launching Cricket brushes that address common needs and requests in the hair care and styling marketplace. The number one selling hairbrush in the salon industry is the Cricket Technique brush.
He started working with an engineer who created cosmetic brushes and wanted to incorporate plastic handles with nylon bristles to easily create hair brushes. Together they created a 5 row and 7 row brush that helped launch many of the industry standards in professional hair brushes. After many travels, Walter began developing cushion brushes, round boar and nylon brushes which immediately caused the companys products to be in high demand. Walters son eventually became heavily involved in the business and in the 70s the companys name was changed to Spornette International. In 1985, his son bought the company from his parents and became the head of operations. His sons children eventually began working at the company and they still continue to produce cutting edge brushes.
