Many years ago women thought that the recipe for beautiful hair was to brush it nightly 100 times. Today we know that this amount of brushing is not a good thing as it could damage the hair. Now we have advanced hair care products to suit every possible type of hair and solutions to every sort of hair problem imaginable. Modern hair brushes, which are probably somewhat different to your grannies hairbrush, are just one product amongst a host of products produced by the billions of dollars haircare industry. Every city and town across the country has hairdressing salons and independent stylists. Among the thousands of products available both within salons and from the store are shampoos and cream rinses, numerous products for styling different types of hair, things to straighten curly hair and things to curl straight hair. Then there are all the various hair colors, from highlights to all over colors in every shade you can imagine, natural and not so natural. Although there have been made advances in haircare and the products developed, nobody has yet found a better way to tidy and style hair than the good old hairbrush or comb.
Yikes! Women are not the only ones who appreciate the value of a good brush, of course. Many of the worlds most dashing men use brushes to style their hair today. Even the Vikings, a bunch of the roughest, toughest men who ever lived, cared for their hair by using combs and brushes they made hundreds of years ago! In 1942, Walter moved to Chicago and began contacting salons selling specially crafted products such as beer shampoo, egg shampoo, hair nets, ear warmers for dryer use, and brushes with wooden handles. In 1944, Walter and his wife Fern went on their honeymoon to New York City and squeezed in working at the International Beauty Show. In the early 50s Walter created the Walter Sporn Company which is now known as Spornette International.
Hair will remain strong and healthy if they are brushed properly. The boar bristle hair brush absorbs oils and dirt from the hair. The edges of the brush which are round helps in massaging the hair and scalp gently. It is not advisable to use nylon hair brushes. They are rough since nylon bristles are inflamed and sharp. This results in breaking up of hair. Adequate blood circulation is essential to promote hair growth. Scalp should be kept clean with little amount of oil. Dirt will accumulate in hair follicles on account of excess oil. Hair should be brushed properly if it is dry. Gentle pull of hair stimulates the scalp and increases the blood circulation.
Spornette brushes are widely used among beauty industry professionals. Here are a few types of Spornette brushes: The Porcupine brushes have both boar and nylon bristles which are attached to a wooden handle. The nylon bristles extend further than the boar bristles to easily groom any hair texture and move through damp hair. The boar bristles help hold hair in place to make styling easier. There are five different sizes of Porcupine brushes and they work well in thick or dense hair types. The Italian rounders are created with the finest wood and reinforced boar bristles to help keep hair in place. There are seven different sizes of this particular type of brush which makes it easy to create several different styles. This particular brush works great with fine, thin hair because of its excellent hold.
